Frequently Asked Questions
Here are a few of the questions we get asked most often:
How big is a Bell Tent?
Our Bell Tents come in 3 sizes 4m, 5m & 7m
- A 4m Bell Tent is 4 metres in diameter, 2.5m high in the middle.
- A 5m Bell Tent is 5 metres in diameter, 3m high in the middle.
- A 7m Bell Tent is 7 metres in diameter, 3.5m high in the middle.
Can you accommodate large groups for events and parties?
Yes, we have a large inventory of bell tents available for hire and can accommodate groups of any size. Whether you’re planning a small party in your back garden, a reunion in a campsite of your choosing or a large-scale event such as a festival or corporate event, we’ll have the perfect bell tents for you.
Can you put up a tent on artificial grass, hard standing or indoors?
Sorry, no. We have to fix tent pegs into the ground so grass is the only suitable surface.
How much space do I need for a tent?
- For a 4 metre tent – at least 6m x 6m of clear, flat grassy space.
- For a 5 metre tent you need at least 7m x 7m of clear, flat grassy space.
- For a 7 metre tent you need at least 9 metres by 9 metres of clear, flat grassy space.
What’s in the tents?
All tents are high quality canvas bell tents that have a fitted zipped in waterproof groundsheet.
Our tents can come in a variety of different interior styles.
Depending on your requirements, they can be supplied with layered rugs, real beds or air beds, white bed linen, cushions, apple crates, battery powered light, fairy lights and decorated with faux plants and dried flower decor.
Have a look at the package information in the section of your event type for options.
We also have extras available that you might need, such as:
- Canopies
- Outdoor furniture
- Extension cable
- Power packs
- Projector and screens for movie nights
Does my accommodation come with electrical power?
Events: Most likely no. We can also arrange small generators for a charge so let us know if this is a requirement of yours and we’ll see what we can do. Otherwise remember to bring a power pack if you have one!
Garden parties: We can bring a large extension cable so you can get electricity inside your tent. Just remember to ask us if you need one.
I want to secure a glamping village for my event but I don’t know the exact details yet. Can I make changes to my booking nearer the time?
Yes of course. You can make changes to your requirements up until the event date. We try to be as flexible as possible as we know last minute changes are likely for events. The important thing is to book roughly the amount of tents that you will require as these have limited availability. Bed arrangements can be altered with short notice.
How much is delivery?
The hire cost includes delivery from our depot in Liverpool to addresses within 20 miles. For other locations we add a delivery charge. This covers the cost of one of our team making two return journeys, setting up and furnishing your tent and then dismantling and collecting it at the end of the hire. For events with multiple tents please get in touch with your post code to find out how much this is.
Do I need to pay a deposit? And when do I pay the rest?
(48 Hour Hire) 25% of the predicted total price will be required to confirm the reservation. A further 25% will be payable 6 weeks ahead of the event. The remainder, based on the final requirements, will be due 14 days before the event.
What time do you drop off / collect the tent?
Garden Parties (24 Hour Hire): We aim to have your tent all set up by mid-afternoon and we’ll come and collect it late morning.
Events (48 Hour Hire): Setup the day before the event and collection is from midday the day after the event.
Do you supply bedding?
We offer bedding as an optional extra. You’re very welcome to bring your own if you wish. Alternatively you can hire fresh white bedding from us.
Priced at:
- Single bedding – £20 per set
- Double bedding– £40 per set
Can I have my tent for extra nights?
Sure! We charge £75 for extra nights.
Do the lights provided need power?
The lights we provide are battery-powered. We’d recommend also bringing a portable torch/ flash light.
Can I use a barbecue, gas stove or fire pit inside the tent?
No, for your own safety, BBQs, fire pits and gas stoves must not be used inside the tent due to the risk of fire and carbon monoxide poisoning which can be fatal.
Are pets allowed?
Well-behaved cats and dogs are welcome to enjoy your glamping experience with you. For everyone’s safety and enjoyment, please make sure that the area where your tent will be pitched is free from dog poo.
What should I bring for my glamping trip?
Bring what you would usually bring for a trip away. We’d also recommend bringing a large bottle of water, a torch, warm pyjamas in case it’s cold and insect repellent.
We’ll provide you with a welcome pack with an eye mask for the light mornings and ear plugs for the tweeting birds! 🦜
