Private Events

Everyone stays the night.
Nobody drives home.

Bell tent hire and stretch tent hire for private events. Garden parties, milestone birthdays, sleepovers, corporate retreats. From 5 tents up.

We crew a 5-tent garden party the same way we crew a 200-tent festival. Same beds, same canvas, same setup.

The 5-tent minimum is delivery economics. Once we're on the road, we want it to be worth the trip.

FAQs

Common questions.

What kind of private events do you do?

Milestone birthdays, garden parties, sleepovers, hen and stag weekends, family reunions, corporate retreats and away-days, anniversaries, post-wedding parties. If it needs guests staying somewhere proper for a night or two, the bell tents work.

What is the smallest event you do?

Minimum 5 tents under 2 hours from York. Distance scales the minimum (2-4 hours: 10 tents, 4+ hours: 15-20 tents). Smaller jobs work if you can fill the van.

Can you set up in a private garden?

Yes, as long as the ground is reasonably flat and we can get the van within carrying distance of the pitch. We have set up in suburban gardens, country estates, working farms, and rented venues. Send a postcode and photos and we will confirm.

Can I pay part of each tent so my guests pay less?

Yes. You can cover any portion of each tent, £100, £150, whatever you want to subsidise. Guests see the reduced price on the portal and only pay the difference plus any extras they add. We invoice you for your contribution once bookings come in.

How does the guest booking system work?

Your event gets a private booking page. You send guests one link, each guest picks their tent, package and nights, and pays direct via Stripe. Free for every event, not just weddings. No spreadsheets, no chasing payments.

How far in advance do we need to book?

Summer Saturdays book up months out. Most private events lock in 1-3 months ahead. Last-minute is possible mid-week and off-season.

When do you need final tent numbers?

About two weeks out for production. Until then you can scale up or down freely. A rough estimate at booking is fine, most events change between pencil-in and final count.

What sort of beds do you provide?

Real raised bed frames available on every tent, not camp beds. Singles can be arranged as a king. Memory foam mattresses and full bedding sets are optional add-ons. Airbeds are an option too if you want to keep things light.

What about toilets and showers?

For garden parties, your house bathroom usually covers it. For venues without facilities or larger events, we can recommend reliable suppliers for portable loos and showers, you book them direct.

How does payment work?

25% deposit confirms the booking. 25% at 6 weeks before the event. Final balance, based on actual final tent count, 14 days before. Guest payments through the booking portal go direct via Stripe.
