Why a stretch tent

The site is usually the problem. Canvas without a frame solves it.

Corporate sites are rarely a clean rectangle of lawn. They are a car park with a kerb through it, a courtyard with a fire escape, a stretch of grass beside the building with three trees in the wrong place. A framed marquee needs the site to fit the tent. A stretch tent has no rigid frame, so the canvas is shaped around what is already there and anchored against the building itself.

Grass or hard standing

Steel ground anchors on grass, ballast on tarmac and block paving. No drilling, nothing left behind.

Built and gone the same day

Our crew handles setup and takedown. Nobody on your team needs to own the tent on the day.

It photographs well

A sculptural canvas sweep reads better in the recap deck and on socials than a white box.

Capacity

Three sizes, four layouts.

All prices inc VAT, setup and takedown included, delivery quoted on distance from our York base. Standing and seated are our stock figures. Cabaret and theatre are planning guidance, so confirm the final layout with us before you publish a headcount.

The paperwork

The questions your facilities team will ask.

Booking a tent for a company is a different job from booking one for a garden. Here is where we stand before you have to ask.

Public liability cover

In place. We send the certificate with the quote whenever a venue or facilities team needs it on file.

VAT invoice and PO

We raise a VAT invoice to the company and can put your purchase order number on it. Prices here already include VAT.

Site visit

We do them on unfamiliar sites. Often photos and a map pin answer it faster, and we will say so and save you the morning.

Surface and anchoring

Ground anchors on grass, ballast on hard standing. Tell us the surface up front and it is priced in, not sprung on you.

Flooring and access

We offer Dandy Dura matting. Tell us about wheelchair or trolley access so we can check the route, ground and flooring requirements.

What we do not do

Power distribution, generators and catering. We hire the tent, flooring, lighting, heating and trestle tables with bench seating, and refer the rest.

What event organisers say

★★★★★

"We use The Glamping Group’s bell tents for our yearly festival in North Yorkshire. They put up over 50 tents for our guests. The glamping package we offered guests sold out much quicker than expected and we were pleased to be able make extra revenue from it after paying their costs. They were also a delight to work with, professional and approachable. We’ve worked with other bell tent companies in the past and this was the first time we have had absolutely no complaints from the guests. Guests gave great feedback- comfy beds, clean and exactly as pictured. We’ll definitely be working with them again! Thanks a lot!"

"The Glamping Group provided a five star service. Nothing was too much. The stretch tent and additional walkway they put in for us looked amazing. Their communication and friendly professional manner was second to none. Highly recommend."

Add-ons

Pick what the day needs.

Flooring

Dandy Dura matting. Tell us about your ground conditions and access needs.

Lighting

Perimeter and interior festoon. Warm tone that carries the event past sunset without floodlighting it.

Heating

Patio heaters and heat lamps for cooler spring and autumn days.

Everything else

Tables and benches come from us too.

Tent, flooring, lighting and heating come from us, and so do trestle tables with bench seating, sets that seat 8 to 10, delivered and set up alongside the tent. For staging, power, catering, AV and lounge furniture we will put you on to the people we would use ourselves. We have built alongside enough of them to know who turns up when they say they will.

Often hired together

Add bell tents when the team is staying over.

Staff days and offsites that run into the evening often need beds on site rather than taxis to three different hotels. The stretch tent covers the day, bell tents cover the night, one crew delivers both.

FAQs

Common questions

What corporate events suit a stretch tent?

Company summer parties, staff fun days, product launches, brand activations, hospitality at shows and race meetings, awards dinners, conference overflow and outdoor breakout space. Anything where you need a room that does not exist yet, on a site you already have.

Can it go on a car park or hard standing?

Yes. On grass we use steel ground anchors. On tarmac, block paving or hard standing we ballast instead, so no drilling and no damage. Tell us the surface when you enquire and we will spec the anchoring in the quote, so nobody discovers it on the day.

How many people fit?

Small (7m x 10.5m) takes 70 standing or 50 seated. Medium (10.5m x 15m) takes 150 standing or 120 seated. Large (15m x 21m) takes 300 standing or 240 seated. For cabaret rounds allow roughly 60 per cent of the seated figure, and for theatre style you can go slightly above it.

Are you insured, and can we see the certificate?

Yes, we carry public liability cover and will send the certificate with the quote if your venue or facilities team needs it on file. Just ask for it.

Can you invoice the company?

Yes. We raise a VAT invoice to the company and can put your purchase order number on it. Every price on this page is inclusive of VAT, so the figure you see is the figure that lands.

Will you do a site visit first?

On an unfamiliar site, yes. Most of the time a few photos and a pin on a map answer it faster. Send those first and we will tell you honestly whether a visit is worth anyone's morning.

What is the lead time?

Summer Saturdays go early, so for a company summer party 3 to 6 months out is comfortable. Midweek dates and shoulder season are usually much shorter notice. If your date is tight, send it anyway, we would rather tell you no quickly than leave you waiting.

What happens if the weather turns?

Our stretch tents have waterproof canvas and are designed to resist wind. We check the ground, exposure and forecast, and follow the manufacturer’s limits for each setup. Severe weather may mean changing the plans or taking the tent down.

Do you supply power, generators or catering?

No. We hire the tent, flooring, lighting, heating and trestle tables with bench seating. For power distribution, generators, catering and lounge furniture we will point you at the suppliers we work alongside and would use ourselves, and we will tell you what the lighting needs so whoever supplies the power can size it.

Send us the date and the site.

Date, postcode, headcount, and what the surface is. That is enough for us to quote a real number. Quotes back within 24 hours.
